Attending OLLI since 2018 has enhanced my day-to-day living experience, garnered friendships, and allowed me to satisfy my curiosity about philosophies that intrigued me.

I have especially enjoyed the creative classes, learning to play ukulele, guitar, singing, writing, and dabbling in art. Taking yoga and belly dancing classes has been beneficial in keeping these mature bones moving smoothly.

Coming to Las Vegas after a stint in the US Air Force, working in the entertainment industry on both coasts, and living in East Africa for several years, I envisioned this as a stop on my way to fulfilling my bucket list. Instead, I took a marketing job at The Wynn for longer than I had imagined and found it to be fun and very different from my past experiences. When it was time to go, my sister talked me into joining OLLI.

She had been attending classes at OLLI and convinced me that my volunteer work at Cleveland Clinic and mentoring students at elementary schools was not going to be enough to keep me occupied. She was right!

Being at OLLI, volunteering when able, and taking in the knowledge that the instructors here have to offer is a very rewarding experience. Learning about history, music, government, religion, and health, to name a few, is very stimulating.

Thanks to my sister, I'll be here until I'm bagged and tagged.
